“I have of late — but wherefore I know not — lost all my …” interest in blogging. (In fact, I have a pretty good idea wherefore, but I really like the speech the quote comes from. It’s the same one with the memorable lines: “What a piece of work is a man! how noble in reason. …”).
Only six posts May–July and none in August — not even an edition of Friday Notes. I am seriously off my blogging game!
Which means I have a bit of a backlog on these Notes posts, so it’s beyond time to crank out another edition.

So it’s been more than a year since my last post here. Because reasons; many reasons. One of them is that this is the 666th post on this blog, and that invokes my interests in symbolism, metaphor, and numerical shenanigans. Seems like I should “do” something in this one.
As one might guess from yesterday’s post, which was supposed to be about vampires, that the geek force runs strong in this one. Of course, it always does. Far as I can tell, I was born an über-geek and shall remain an über-geek until my final breath (which will no doubt be some geeky observation).
