That’s impressive, but understandable. SR is strictly geometrical — Pythagorean, really.

]]>Plus I have no education in physics due to my parents having pulled me out of school, and doing so just after I had completed grade 10. But I was always interested in “motion”, so I continued to think about motion over and over and analyze it step by step within my mind.

After thinking about the idea of absolute motion, “motion” that is ongoing within an absolute 4 dimensional Space-Time environment, I discovered that this leads to some bizarre outcomes, but these were outcomes that were understood, despite them being bizarre. I then converted my understandings into a geometric representation, and then proceeded to use this geometry to convert my understandings into equations.

Then off I went to see if my equations were found elsewhere.

They turned out to be identical to the equations that are known as the Lorentz-Fitzgerald Length Contraction equation, the Time Dilation equation, the Velocity Addition equation, and the Lorentz Transformation equations. However, the way in which I derived these equations, is found nowhere else on this planet. The deriving was all based upon understanding.

Anyhow, it was fun. One of my science teachers, among other teachers, thought that I was basically a stupid idiot. This was part of the reasoning as to why my parents pulled me out of school. That seems amusing to me, since figuring out Special Relativity seems like just child’s play.

I threw 9 mini Youtube videos together to show how. ( 1hr 37min. )

]]>If as many people as possible come out the other side with some understanding or appreciation of Special Relativity, that will indicate I did the job. (Ideally everyone who manages to read all this gets *something* — hopefully there’s *some* benefit from all that reading! 🙂 )

Everybody’s different. I’m sure there are those following along quite easily – you have nothing to feel bad about or change in the least. 😀

]]>I’m always happy to answer questions, if that helps! Even a general idea is enough for the “rabbit hole” stuff coming up — the exact details aren’t all that important. (Some of it may gel later when you see the diagrams in action.)

But I think I did get a bit too detailed this past week… Once I got it into my head, the idea of spending the week on the diagrams, it kinda got a bit involved. On a technical topic like this, it hard knowing where to draw the line on details sometimes! 🙂

I am pretty much done laying the foundation. Hopefully as the house goes up it’ll move along a bit better!
